few days ago I had a very full session photographing owls, courtesy of some good friends, to whom I send a big hug. Besides completita by time and by the byways of the place, was quite successful, and made me remember when, some years ago, I was able to photograph this species in the nest. When it comes to photos of nests always reluctance and suspicion (sometimes justified, some not ...), by many people. I must say that the occasion was due to very special circumstances, as we were doing a census of the species, and following several nests at a great distance. However, the observations of a nest in particular had us confused, which made us closer to the place. They discovered that one of the chickens had driven the other from the nest, having fallen from almost 20 meters this ... but it was good. Upload it back to the nest did not seem as appropriate as almost certainly the same thing happen again. Bring to a recovery center, not (for many reasons, but mainly because it was in perfect condition). As it decided to upload it to a ledge located about ten meters from the nest, but with a complicated position to continue its evolution from a distance. It became necessary then to install a hide about 40 meters and see if the parents were feeding it, otherwise it should be moved to another center.
And if adults followed the Egyptian vultures, according to their son indeed. Man, seize the opportunity to take pictures, I think is sufficient justification, besides having deserved, by the ruckus that led to all the work.
Indeed, the two chickens flew.
